At the time that construction of the McCook Estate, now our Mansions on Fifth Hotel, was completed in 1906, other titans of industry, law and finance were erecting their own massive estates. Fifth Avenue in Shadyside developed the apt nickname “Millionaire’s Row”, and was in the early 1900’s home to luminaries such as George Westinghouse, Andrew Mellon, Henry Clay Frick, Andrew Carnegie, and many other household names.

Unfortunately, many of those homes did not survive into the second part of the twentieth century due to the expense of maintaining them. Some have, however, and are now open to the public in a variety of capacities, including our Mansions on Fifth Hotel. Our Explore Millionaire’s Row Package gives our guests a chance to visit some of the remaining grand homes of Shadyside and to get a taste of the lives of the upper crust in the late 19th and early 20th century in Pittsburgh.
Your package includes:

• An overnight in a Deluxe King room at the Mansions, the former Willis McCook Estate, with chilled champagne in your room upon arrival
• Next stop is Clayton, the former Henry Clay Frick Estate and the centerpiece of the Frick Art and Historical Center located on Penn Avenue and which was once the home of steel magnate and his family. You’ll be treated to a guided tour of Clayton, which features nearly 100% of the original furnishings, decorations and utensils used by the Frick family. You’ll also have the chance to tour the Frick Art Museum, also located on the grounds, as well as the Frick Automotive Museum.
• Top off your afternoon with lunch at the amazing Cafe at the Frick, located in a former carriage house on the Frick Estate grounds.
• Uber transportation to, from and between your destinations is included in your package price.

Mansions Explore Millionaire’s Row Package: $339 plus tax. Guest pricing is per double occupancy and that Deluxe King rooms may be in either the Fifth Avenue House or Amberson House. Please note that the Frick Museum and Clayton ticket portion of the packages is non-refundable once the package is booked. Lunch and tours are subject to availability. Guests receive a $40 lunch voucher for use at the Cafe. Please note that the Frick Art and Historical Center and the Cafe at the Frick are closed on Mondays.
